I chose the topic about women in iraq because of my concerns and there are plenty of sources on the internet regarding this situation. It is part of the constitution that everyone should be treated equally and have the same rights, however, these laws are not being practiced in Iraq. Women are degraded by men by rapes, attacks, killed, and the list goes on. The following site provides a list of tortures women are experiencing today in Iraq: http://www.ipetitions.com/campaigns/women_in_iraq/

Farenheit 911 was filled with statistics and some facts to try and prove a point. However, Micheal Moore used a lot of rhetorical questions as well as criticism against Bush to show that Bush is an unfit president. Although some of the facts were true, some were not. For example, when Bush was reading to the class of kids and was told the news about the bombing in New York, Micheal Moore made him look foolish by using rhetorical questions and no one except Bush really knows what was going on through Bush's head at the time. The film was very biased and targeted Bush as the center of humiliation and although his rhetorical questions were funny, the questions are considered to be a fallacy.

This is a great source of information because the site provides plenty of information which is worded very well (very comprehensible). The site tells what happens in the case step by step which makes it easier to follow.

Needles for drug addicts should be seen as a source of safety rather than a way to promote drug use. The use of clean needles is one sufficient way to prevent the spread of aids. Clean needles cannot be the boost of encouragement for drug use because drug addicts already fein for drugs. It's sad enough that drug addicts are mentally and sometimes physically illed by drugs; becoming a victim of aids will only make matters so much more worse. According the World Health Organization, 10% of hiv infections are acquired through sharing unclean needles. Just as Planned Parenthood is designed to promote safe sex, there are programs for drug addicts to promote safe drug use. Drug addicts cannot spread their disease chemically whereas hiv and aids can. If it has to be done, better go for the safe way.

Since the early 1700'd, homosexuality has been an issue to society. It is an attribute at birth to have a sexual preference for the same sex which therefore, should not be considered a crime. So, why are same sex marriages such a problem? The most eminent answer to the question is that people are uncomfortable with the situation of gay couples being a normality in society. However, couples share a bond in which the world should not have any say in. Being a homosexual is seen as an abnormality, and due to this stereotype, homosexuals are afraid to admit they are gay. If society were to be more unbiased and accepted this form of diversity, homosexuals would not be afraid of the world around them and gay couples who are madly in love will be given the gift of marriage.
It's not everyday where a flag burned is in site, therefore, prohibiting the desecration of the U.S. flag should not become an ammendment. It may be a sign of disrespect to the the country and may be problematic for some, however, the constitution should be consisted of ammendments that are more general and meaningful such as freedom of speech and equality. Instead of creating an ammendment of prohibition, congress should pass a law to prohibit the descration of the flag which consequences will follow.

The First Amendment can often be misleading to people who take it too critical. The First Amendment states that people should have their freedom of speech and the government has gone through many trials where some believe the First Amendment is not being practiced thoroughly enough. Just like any rule, a rule applies only to certain extents depending on a situation. In Ohio, for example, an ordinance requiring all door to door canvassers were permitted by the mayor for senior citizens intentionally to protect them from criminals. However, Jehovah's Witnesses who go door to door with the teachings of their religion, believe that the mayor is violating the First Amendment. It should be completely understandable for senior citizens have this source of protection and as Jehovah's Witnesses, they should understand their situation. Jehovah's Witnesses can get their voices heard in other forms of teachings such as flyers, commercials, etc. Did they ever take in consideration that they may be violating the privacy of homes? For the most part, what they have to say comes with no interest to these senior citizens. Senior citizens deserve as much protection as possible and should not have to sacrifice protection over teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses which can be taught in other ways.

Charles Laverne Singleton is a prisoner of Arkansas who was forced to take antipsychotic drugs in order for him to be executed properly due to his insanity. The Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals believes it is a significant way to unwind his insanity. However, there is an issue that has been presented regarding the intake of this medication. “Medicine is supposed to heal people, not to prepare them for execution. A law that asks doctors to make people well so that the government can kill them is an absurd law," said David Kaczynski who is the director of New Yorkers against the Death Penalty.
Medication/drugs can be misused to create a sense of pleasure to a being and it can also be used for health. The argument regarding the situation above argues that medicine is only supposed to help and heal people. For the most part, this quote is true. However, what needs to be done must be done and done properly. Using this medication on Charles created a sense of safety for his surroundings and did help people. This was the only way to allow Charles to follow through with his execution safely. Charles committed a crime and is now facing the consequences.
It was on June 1, 1979 in a grocery store where the crime scene occurred. Mary Lou York, the victim of the crime scene, was murdered by Charles resulting in two stabbed wounds and a copious loss of blood.
For the man that Charles was, he deserved what was coming to him. Whether he took the medication or whether he didn’t, he was still a death row prisoner. He was considered legally sane only when taking the medication, schizophrenia. Charles was executed on January 6 of 2004.
